The Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 3 Mini works similar to the full size Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 3, but with smaller pieces designed for indoor use or smaller spaces. It is dual band compatible, meaning you can connect to both 2.4 and 5 Ghz WiFi signals. It is not capable of connecting to cellular networks, it is WiFi only.
It includes the same R36AH USB Wi-Fi router that is in the Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 3, but instead of the larger outdoor USB tube and antenna, it includes an indoor USB receiver and smaller 5 dBi antenna.
It is a perfect way to get a range boost where the original Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 3 may be too big. Use inside RVs near a window if you don't want to mount an outdoor antenna on the outside of the RV. Use on small covered decks at apartment complexes where the HOA rules may prohibit the installation of larger outdoor WiFi antennas. Or take it with you in a laptop travel bag and use in a hotel or on the road.
Dual-Band Technology:
The ALFA WiFi Camp Pro 3 Mini is built much like the ALFA WiFi Camp Pro 2 Mini, but now with Dual Band WiFi technology. Dual-band functionality allows your ALFA WiFi Camp Pro 3 Mini to receive WiFi signals from both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. 2.4 GHz is the standard WiFi you will likely find everywhere WiFi is offered. 5 GHz however, is much faster and is being offered at more and more locations, and in some instances is the only network available. 5 GHz signals in your location will provide you with faster internet speeds than on a 2.4 GHz network.

The ALFA AWUS036ACHM is a long-range dual-band USB WiFi adapter. It features an RP-SMA antenna port and a 5 dBi dual-band antenna. The antenna is detachable and can be upgraded. It also has a power amplifier to increase reception range compared to ALFA's single antenna 802.11n products. The ALFA AWUS036ACHM is capable of receiving and transmitting on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. With 802.11ac standard routers, AWUS036ACHM can achieve throughput speeds up to 433 Mbps.
