This means you can extend your RP-SMA antenna with very limited loss. Cheap entry level magnet docking bases for antennas typically have cables without shielding, giving you as much as 6 dBi of gain loss over the same length cable. Our thick shielded CFD-200 cable limits gain loss to just 1.8 dBi, helping you preserve your antenna gain.

When you need your magnet base to stay upright in higher winds, lower cost light weight alternatives can't form a strong bond to the magnetic surface and are likely to fall over. Some bases may tip just due to the weight of your antenna. Our heavy duty magnet gives the total base a weight of 11 ounces, compared to just 3 ounces for an entry level base.

Compatibility: This base has an RP-SMA female connector on the top, and an RP-SMA male connector at the end of the 11 foot cable. RP-SMA is reverse polarity SMA, so the female port has a pin and the male has a hole, as the gender with RP goes by threading.
