This thumb-sized LoRa dev kit, featuring the XIAO ESP32S3 and Wio-SX1262 LoRa module, is an ideal starter kit for Meshtastic and LoRa/LoRaWAN projects. Supporting WiFi, BLE, and LoRa, it includes a built-in power management chip and can be extended via IIC, UART, and other GPIO interfaces, with compatibility for Arduino development.

Ready for Meshtastic：Pre-flashed with Meshtastic firmware, the kit works out of the box and can quickly join or create a Meshtastic mesh network.

Dual Wireless Connectivity：Supports long-range LoRa communication (862–930 MHz) along with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and BLE 5.0. When used with a U.FL antenna, it can achieve 2–5 km LoRa communication and 100 m+ Wi-Fi/BLE range.

Thumb-Sized Compact Design：With a compact size of just 21 × 18 mm and the classic XIAO form factor, it is ideal for space-constrained projects such as wearables and embedded devices.

Powerful ESP32-S3 MCU：Powered by the ESP32-S3 dual-core Xtensa processor running up to 240 MHz. The board includes multiple expansion interfaces and supports Arduino and MicroPython development.

Integrated Power Management：Equipped with a USB Type-C interface and built-in lithium battery charging management for flexible power options.

Application
  • Meshtastic Node & Router: An ultra-small node that can serve as a portable device or as a fixed router to expand the Meshtastic network.
  • LoRa/LoRaWAN Sensor: A mini LoRaWAN sensor, ideal for beginners exploring LoRa/LoRaWAN. It can be used with the XIAO extension board and Grove sensors for rapid prototyping.
  • LoRaWAN Single Channel Gateway: The most cost-effective single-channel LoRaWAN gateway for connecting multiple LoRaWAN sensors and transmitting data to LoRaWAN Network Servers such as The Things Network and Chirpstack.


Dev board return policy

Development boards are specialty items that generally cannot be resold on return, especially if the firmware has been flashed. Defective boards can be replaced or returned for refund within 30 days of purchase. Non-defective boards can be returned in the same time frame if in like-new condition with a 20 percent restocking fee applied. If the board has had altered firmware or became bricked due to a non-standard firmware flash, the board may not be eligible for return.

Sales tax is required in many states and will be added at checkout if applicable to your delivery state. Tax exempt forms can be sent to our support department.

Expedited shipping orders placed before 3PM EST weekdays will ship that day. Standard shipping orders ship within 1-2 business days.

Sales tax: shipments shipped to states in which we are registered to collect tax will have appropriate tax added at checkout. Tax exempt forms can be sent to our support staff who can activate exemption status. 

Lost packages and insurance

Hawaii & International Shipping:

While Hawaii is not international, packages from our Florida location with free standard shipping may take up to a month. We suggest purchasing expedited air shipping for Hawaii (note batteries cannot be shipped by Air). International shipping options are visible in cart by using the shipping estimator. Transit times posted are estimates. International packages are subject to customs holds and duty payment may be required by your government on delivery. The cost of duty is not reimbursable. International shipping charges are not refundable in the event of a return.

Bulk/High Value Order Returns

Due to the labour required to package and ship bulk orders, as well as cost and stock issues involved in replenishing items, bulk orders of 5 pieces or more are not returnable unless the equipment is defective or mis-advertised, or a return period is pre-negotiated. For non-defective returns over $500, a restocking fee may be deducted from the refund to cover bank or card processing fees.

Backorder/Preorder

Items on back order or pre-order will ship as estimated on the item page. You can cancel an order any time up until shipment. Orders with expedited shipping will arrive in the advertised time after the order ships, not after the order is placed.
