Dev board return policy

Development boards are specialty items that generally cannot be resold on return, especially if the firmware has been flashed. Defective boards can be replaced or returned for refund within 30 days of purchase. Non-defective boards can be returned in the same time frame if in like-new condition with a 20 percent restocking fee applied. If the board has had altered firmware or became bricked due to a non-standard firmware flash, the board may not be eligible for return.

Sales tax is required in many states and will be added at checkout if applicable to your delivery state. Tax exempt forms can be sent to our support department.

Lost packages and insurance

International Shipping:

International packages are subject to customs holds and duty payment may be required by your government on delivery. The cost of duty is not reimbursable. Internatonal shipping charges are not refundable in the event of a return.

Bulk/High Value Order Returns

Due to the labor required to package and ship bulk orders, as well as cost and stock issues involved in replenishing items, bulk orders of 5 pieces or more are not returnable unless the equipment is defective or mis-advertised, or a return period is prenegotiated. For non-defective returns over $500, a restocking fee may be deducted from the refund to cover bank or card processing fees.

Backorder/Preorder

Items on backorder or preorder will ship as estimated on the item page. You can cancel an order any time up until shipment. Orders with expedited shipping will arrive in the advertised time after the order ships, not after the order is placed.

Great Product!

Its a great device. Rockland delivers the same as if you purchase it anywhere else, although they offer very fast shipping. If you are considering purchasing meshtastic, you definitely should. The large the network of people that have them the more valid, and usefule the technology is.

It works…and won’t stop working

The item works as intended, which is a good thing. But the problem with this device is it doesn’t turn off. At least I don’t know how to turn it off. There’s nothing in the instructions about it. Now I get people hacking my device and changing names and adding me to group messages and also sending me private messages. It gets annoying.

To power off, do a long press and hold on the button and this will shut it down. You should see “shutting down” appear on the screen.
The screen will not wipe to blank and will still have data written. Because the screen is eink, it can still display the most recent ink writing even after off.

Fried itself

Worked great for a moment, but after plugging it into the USB charger the second time there was a burning plastic smell. I quickly unplugged and opened up to remove the battery. One of the surface mount components near the USB port was slightly melted and the battery cable that had been across it was singed. The unit no longer powers on. I can probably salvage the antennas and screen for parts but what a waste.

We are sorry to hear about this issue. This is not something we have seen before with the T-Echo so it appears to be very isolated, possibly a bad battery or incorrect wiring. Our team has reached out to your email to find out if you would like it replaced or if you prefer to return for refund.

T-Echo is easy to use.

I just got a T-Echo, and I was able to flash Meshtastic to it in a few minutes. It's my first Meshtastic device, and it was easy to get it running. I also got the antenna upgrade, and I recommend it. The factory antenna works, but the upgraded antenna picks up many more nodes from my location. I have a lot to learn, but it's been a great experience, so far!
