Introducing MPD-400 Super Flex Coaxial Cables

June 30, 2021

If you've watched our YouTube channel or read or product listing pages, you already know 400 grade coaxial cable is an excellent low-loss shielding cable to use to extend your antenna away from your Helium miner or ALFA Wi-Fi product. 400 grade cable has up to 4 times less loss than standard RG-58 coax.

The drawback is because the shielding is very thick to insulate against gain loss, the cable cannot bend that far. Going straight up a wall to a roof is no problem but attempting to get the cable out and around a very narrow area can be. Dropping down to a lower shielding means more loss.

Now we have you covered with MPD-400 Super Flex cables. Similar to Times Microwave LMR-400 Ultra Flex cables, MPD-400 Super Flex cables have the same thick shielding and gain loss rating as our popular RFC-400 and Times Microwave LMR-400 options but are made with special materials and inner conductor that allow more flexibility.

Do you NEED Super Flex? If you are going in a fairly straight path with limited curving, no. MPD-400 Super Flex and our RFC-400 standard cables have the same low gain loss ratings per foot. The Super Flex does cost a little more due to the special materials and manufacturing process. So, if you don't need it, save with great RFC-400 options. But if you need more flexibility, Super Flex is the answer!
