Sharing a WiFi connection with Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot feature

August 23, 2019

The Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update features a new tool for the easy sharing of an Internet connection on your PC, called Mobile Hotspot.

If you are using one of our Alfa long range Wi-Fi USB adapters on your Windows 10 PC, and the PC also has a built-in Wi-Fi card, you can enable Mobile Hotspot to share the Internet connection being received by the Alfa device out over your PC's built-in Wi-Fi card as your own private password protected Wi-Fi hotspot that other nearby devices can connect to.

This feature can come in handy in many places. Perhaps you need to use your Alfa USB booster to get better signal in a hotel room on your laptop, but would like to take advantage of the range boost while watching your Amazon Fire tablet on the bed. With Mobile Hotspot enabled, this is easy to do. Read full details about turning on Mobile Hotspot here:
