ALFA AWUS036ACM brings dual antenna 802.11ac technology to PCs at an affordable cost. It is a new dual antenna 867 Mbps Wi-Fi USB adapter compatible with Windows XP through Windows 10. It features two RP-SMA antenna ports, and two 5 dBi dual-band antennas. The antennas are detachable and can be upgraded.
This product is very similar to ALFA AWUS036AC but it has the Mediatek MT7612U chipset.
AWUS036ACM is capable of receiving and transmitting on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz bands. With 802.11ac standard routers, AWUS036AC can achieve throughput speeds up to 867 Mbps. This adapter is backward compatible with 802.11g and 802.11n networks, but an 802.11ac router is required for the maximum throughput.
This is brand new in retail box and includes the adapter, two 5 dBi dual-band antennas, driver CD.
( +/- 2dBm )
It will work with any computer that has an available USB port and Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, or Windows 10.
Linux: USB WiFi adapters based on the mt7612u chipset have been supported in-kernel since Linux kernel v4.19, therefore, there is no need for driver installation. For WPA3 support on 5 Ghz, you will need to turn on the parameter "disable_usb_sg". For a script to do this, and additional documentation and resources, click here to go to the GitHub page for this chipset/driver.
USB 3.0 port required for max speed, though is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports also at a max speed of 480 mbps.

I only use it for my pineapple mark 7 so my review is limited and biased towards that.
Set up in Kali is brutally simple. great product.
It worked great with Linux Mint. No downloading and installation of an additional driver was needed. That is usually a 7 step process in the Terminal and requires a wired connection. I give it three thumbs up.
Plug and play with modern Linux distros. Tested with Ubuntu 20.04 and later, Linux Mint 20 and later, Raspberry Pi OS and Kali Linux. The driver is in the Linux kernel. It performs very well in managed mode, master mode and monitor mode. Some helpful info is located at this site:
The MediaTek MT7612U chipset works well with the in-kernel mac80211 md76 driver. Monitor mode and injection both work.
